The QC showing is underlain by Upper Triassic Stuhini Group rocks, which have been intruded by Late Triassic to Early Jurassic monzonitic intrusions, Eocene granitic dikes, sills and stocks and Miocene basaltic and rhyolitic dikes.

The QC zone was discovered on the Trek property during the 1988 field seasons. Sampling was done in this year and in 1989 by Lorica Resources Ltd.

A group of galena and sphalerite-bearing quartz-carbonate veins have been found in talus and outcrop on the eastern side of Trek glacier at approximately 1250 metres elevation. These veins, which are hosted by carbonate-altered andesite, yielded uniformly low gold values with up to 10.40 per cent zinc, 4.48 per cent lead and 179.6 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 20956). Sulphide-rich float of garnet skarn was found nearby; sample 245623 assayed 1683 grams per tonne silver with 31 per cent combined lead-zinc (Assessment Report 20956). Talus and grab samples of andesite and/or agglomerate occur.
